For once, the remake of the month on Nintendo Switch is not entirely dedicated to the glory of Mario. He pays homage to his sidekick Luigi in a title that only 3DS owners have been able to discover until now. Fans of JRPGs and Japanese animation are also quite spoiled this month.

Star Wars Hunters

Get ready to draw your lightsaber in cross-play in the Star Wars Hunters game, which is released simultaneously on Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. Real-time battles can be fought on both the Rebel Alliance and the Dark Side of the Force, with the possibility of playing Imperial soldiers, bounty hunters, droids and even Jawas. All against the backdrop of a fake TV show. The game also allows you to create your own avatar to try to write your name in an ever-so-distant galaxy. Star Wars Hunters has the merit of being free-to-play, therefore free, including on the Nintendo console.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance

On June 14, the JRPG Shin Megami Tensei V will no longer be a Switch exclusive and will even disappear from the eShop to make way for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. This definitive version of the game will be available on all media to allow as many people as possible to reconnect with Atlus’ other great series. Fans of the franchise Persona will immediately find their marks, both in terms of atmosphere and the system of demonic fusions rich in possibilities. This version adds to the original content a whole additional narrative section via the new scenario of the “Avenging Goddess” for a lifespan that we guess is monstrous. It should also rely on an improved combat system and greater accessibility.

  • Also available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC

Monster Hunter Stories

It’s not too late to embark on the beginnings of the adventure offered by Monster Hunter Stories. The first part was not available on Switch, PC and PS4, but this oversight will be corrected on June 14. Brought up to date, this RPG derived from the saga Monster Hunter is aimed at young people by replacing monster hunting with creature breeding. The choice between English or Japanese voices will be one of the many bonuses offered for the occasion, with local or online multiplayer.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble

We never say no to an episode of Super Monkey Ball, especially when it allows you to challenge up to 15 other players online. On June 25, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble will put our skills to the test in a brand new adventure made up of 200 new levels. As the formula goes, we do not directly move the ball in which our monkey is located but all the decorations by rotating them skillfully so as not to see our protégé fall miserably into the void. This episode benefits from new optional movement controls to make motion gaming even more intuitive. It also houses a 4-player local cooperative mode.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD

As the trailer visible at the opening of this article reminds us, the release of Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD on Switch is an opportunity for Nintendo to dust off one of the best games on the 3DS. But this time, the “horrific” experience can be discovered by up to 4 players online or locally on the same screen…with so many variations of Luigi working together to try to meet the challenges of the all-new Haunted Tower. The ectoplasm hunt resumes on June 27.

Tchia

One of the best indie games of last year is finally coming to Nintendo Switch and it would be a shame to miss out. Inspired by the culture and landscapes specific to New Caledonia, Tchia takes us on an astonishing and poetic journey. Being able to incarnate as all sorts of objects and animals opens up some truly exhilarating gameplay possibilities in a world where music occupies an essential place. Tchia is also a hymn to tolerance that will leave no one indifferent. As a reminder, Tchia won the “Beyond Video Games” award at the last BAFTA ceremony.

Spy x Anya: Operation Memories

It was predictable. The success of the event series Spy x Family pushed Bandai Namco to launch a video game based around the manga and anime. Halfway between an adventure game and a party game, Spy x Anya: Operation Memories entrusts us with a new high-risk mission: complete a photo album by immortalizing the moments spent with the most absurd family of all time. Little Anya Forger takes it very seriously and intends to present the most memorable newspaper of the whole school by visiting the most unusual places. If you missed the film in the cinema, go and discover the manga available from Kurokawa editions or the animated series on the Crunchyroll platform to avoid missing out on the phenomenon.
