Acer has refreshed its premium business laptop, the TravelMate P6 14, with Intel Meteor Lake processors, new OLED touchscreen options, and Wi-Fi 7. This year’s version is slightly heavier (1, 19 kg) than the previous predecessor version (1.09 kg)

According to Acer, the Intel Evo-certified TravelMate P6 14 (TMP614-73) is designed to “redefine” mobile working with built-in AI features, including Copilot, PurifiedVoice with AI noise reduction, PurifiedView 2.0 for video conferencing, and Intel Unison for seamless connectivity with mobiles and tablets. Acer’s TravelMate Sense app allows you to manage various aspects of the laptop by pressing a dedicated keyboard shortcut.

The Acer LiveArt app helps remove the background from photos of people, animals and objects, with the assistance of AI. It can also generate depth maps in 2D images. Computer-aided image generation from text is possible via GIMP and the Intel Stable Diffusion plugin.

The new TravelMate P6 14 is virtually identical to the version announced last year (available for $1,198.50 on Amazon). The processor is upgraded to Intel Meteor Lake Core Ultra 7 with Intel vPro Enterprise. Options include Core Ultra 7 165H, Core Ultra 7 155H, Core Ultra 5 135H, and the Core Ultra 5 125H.

Of these, only the Core Ultra 7 165H and Core Ultra 5 135H are eligible for vPro Enterprise. The CPU is complemented by memory and storage options of up to 32 GB LPDDR5x and 1 TB PCIe NVMe, respectively.

Acer continues to offer 2.8K OLED and IPS FHD+ options with this year’s TravelMate P6 14. The OLED panel is claimed to offer 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, 400 nits brightness, 100,000:1 contrast ratio, 84% screen-to-body ratio and is VESA HDR TrueBlack certified 500. An OLED touchscreen option is also available.

Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 enable wireless networking, but Acer seems to have left out 5G connectivity this time around. 2x Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, 1x HDMI 2.1-out, and a microSD card reader round out the port selection.

A 1080p IR webcam allows biometric login compatible with Windows Hello. The interior is powered by a 4-cell 65Whr battery with fast charging, which Acer claims can last up to 12 hours.

The new Acer TravelMate P6 14 (TMP614-73) will be available in North America in July from $1,429.99 and in EMEA in the third quarter from €1,359.
