Microsoft informs that it is now imposing the Windows 11 23H2 update for laptops and desktop computers running this operating system.
Windows 11 22H2 – which therefore dates from the second half of 2022 – took advantage of its last maintenance update yesterday October 8.
From now on, no updates will be distributedexposing the operating system to bugs and other potential security vulnerabilities.
Microsoft therefore announces that Windows Update puts automatically updated since yesterday October 8, 2024 Windows 11 Home and Professional OS vers Windows 11 23H2if they are not already evolving at least under this edition:
Eligible Windows 11 Home and Pro devices that are not managed by enterprise IT departments will be automatically updated to version 23H2 when they reach or near the end of support.

By upgrading to Windows 11 version 23H2, your device remains supported and receives monthly updates that are essential to the security and health of the ecosystem.
The latest major Windows 11 24H2 update has been deployed for a few days.
