A collision, which caused others with parked vehicles, left one seriously injured and two slightly injured Friday afternoon, in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough, in Montreal.
Emergency services were called around 4:45 p.m. for a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Lachapelle and Pérunault streets, reported Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils.
According to initial information, the two cars were traveling north on Lachapelle Street and, for a reason still unknown, one of the two cars hit the other car traveling in front of it.
The two cars then collided with other vehicles which were parked on the side of Lachapelle Street.
One of the drivers, a 30-year-old man, was taken unconscious and in critical condition to a hospital, where his life is feared.
The second driver, a 20-year-old man, and his passenger, a 20-year-old woman, were also taken to hospital conscious and with minor injuries.
A perimeter was erected to protect the scene and allow investigators from the Collision Investigation Module to carry out an analysis to try to understand the exact circumstances of this collision.
Witnesses to the event were met by the police and the investigation continues.
