Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG will join the Magic Pass mountain railway tariff network from summer 2025. The destination in the Bernese Oberland wants to offer its guests more flexibility and comfort.

The Magic Pass mountain railway tariff network expands the destination portfolio: Gstaad will join the Magic Pass from the 2025 summer season. This means customers can also explore the western Bernese Oberland and the Vaud Alps. The Gstaad destination includes Rougemont, Schönried, Saanenmöser, Zweisimmen and St. Stephan. [RELATED]

Overview of sales figures
The tariff association announces that sales figures for the Magic Pass 2024/2025 will increase sharply. After the price change on October 1st, over 192,000 subscriptions have already been sold. This number reflects an increase of over 17,600 Magic Passes – an increase of 10 percent compared to the previous year. According to forecasts, total sales will reach 197,000 subscriptions, which could reach the budget targets set for the year.

The growing popularity of the subscription is particularly evident in the cantons of Bern, Zurich, Solothurn, Aargau, Lucerne and Basel, where all recorded an increase of 20 percent. New stations have also joined the Magic Pass this year in Geneva, where there has been an increase of 10 percent. According to Magic Pass, growth remains strong in French-speaking Switzerland, underscoring the continued appeal of the subscription in this region.
