However, Apple’s iOS Core Technology Fee (CTF) has proven to be a big challenge. While this €0.50 may seem small, a popular game can charge the developer an unmanageable amount if it is installed millions of times. To make things easier for developers, the Epic Games Store announced that it would pay Apple’s FFC for a year. Although this is not a “financially viable” measure, the company hopes that the European Commission will soon investigate Apple for non-compliance with the Digital Markets Act.
