Marko Ilic will make his return to Kortrijk
After the departure of Tom Vandenberghe to La Gantoise and the injury of Patrik Gunnarsson, only Lucas Pirard is still present. An avenue however studied by Standard, who could recruit a new second goalkeeper. For this reason, Kortrijk turned to Marko Ilic, according to the Newspaper.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper has already played at the Éperons d’Or stadium between 2020 and 2023. Then, the Serbian signed with the Colorado Rapids in MLS.
This season, Marko Ilic returned to his country of origin and plays for Red Star Belgrade. He started the season as the starting goalkeeper and even played two Champions League matches (against AS Monaco and FC Barcelona), but is now back on the bench. His return to Kortrijk would be almost complete.
