Kaiden Guhle is quietly establishing himself as a sure bet in the Montreal Canadiens’ blue league.

Tuesday, during the pre-game of the meeting between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Boston Bruins, the describer Félix Séguin did not hesitate to compare the young CH skater to one of the most effective defenders in the National Hockey League: Ryan McDonagh.

“McDonagh is certainly one of the very good defensive defenders of his generation. If the Lightning won two Stanley Cups in a row, it is in particular because of McDonagh,” he stressed.

“Guhle, the way he defends and protects his goalkeeper reminds me a lot of McDonagh. There are a lot of similarities in their style of play.

“As in the case of McDonagh, Guhle will never be a number 1 defender. If [Lane] Hutson can become one, it will greatly help Guhle,” he also maintained.

In his segment, Félix Séguin also presented moments from an interview he conducted with Victor Hedman. The Lightning captain spoke about Martin St-Louis, who was his teammate for almost five seasons.
