The Cape Town-based franchise announced this Tuesday the arrival for next season of the number 9 double world champion.
The South African Stormers franchise, based in Cape Town, announced this Tuesday the arrival, for next season, of scrum half Cobus Reinach, who has been playing in Montpellier since 2020. The number 9 (34 caps since 2014) was crowned twice world champion with the Springboks in 2019 in Japan then in 2023 in France. With the MHR, the 34-year-old was champion of France in 2022.
Cobus Reinach will discover a second franchise in South Africa, after having worn the colors of the Durban Sharks between 2011-2017 and winning Super Rugby in 2012. He also played in the Premiership with the Northampton Saints (2017-2020) before to come to France.
