Anderlecht is urgently looking for a defender during this transfer window. Nobel Mendy is one of the coveted players.
With the new injury to Jan Vertonghen and the probable departure of Zanka to Los Angeles, Anderlecht is making no secret of the need to recruit at least one additional central defender in the coming days.
According to the Spanish media Revelo, the Mauves have a crush on Nobel Mendy, a young Franco-Senegalese from Betis Sevilla.
Anderlecht not alone on the track
The Andalusians paid 900,000 euros to land the 19-year-old from Paris FC six months ago, having already had him on loan last season. However, he has not yet played a minute in the Spanish league.
Mendy started once in the Conference League, and once in the Coupe du Roi. For the rest, he owes his playing time to the reserve team’s matches. Anderlecht would propose to relaunch it for the second part of the season.
His left-handed profile would be an asset for the Mauves. Nobel Mendy is currently recovering from a knee injury that kept him in the infirmary for a month. He would also attract the interest of Ligue 1 teams.
