However, 2024 was also a year where Morocco dominated the scene when it came to individual performances. Indeed, Morocco had a successful year, particularly in terms of decisive players. If Algeria remains a strong competitor, Morocco was able to do well, in particular thanks to the performance of El Kaabi, who was one of the key elements of this domination. The fact that Morocco had the most decisive African player of the year places this country in the lead, while Algeria will have to redouble their efforts to catch up and find their best elements. This observation highlights the growing rivalry between the two nations which, in 2024, are fighting to establish themselves on the international scene.
