Cercle de Bruges has once again turned to Ligue 1 to find a successor to Kévin Denkey. Steve Ngoura is expected to sign in the coming days.
With his 66 goals and 21 assists, Kevin Denkey quickly took up a lot of space at Cercle de Bruges. His absence at the forefront of the attack will undoubtedly leave a big void, especially with a view to the battle for maintenance. But the 15 million collected should allow the leaders to replace him properly.
Management had anticipated his departure for some time: the Brazilian Felipe Augusto (paid three million to Corinthians) and the great German hope Paris Brunner (rented to Monaco) arrived during the last two transfer windows.
No room for error
But they have not yet fully met expectations: Brunner has only scored one goal, Augusto has capped three (including only one in the league). Another attacker should therefore arrive in January. Mentioned a few days ago, the trail leading to Steve Ngoura is confirmed.
According to the media Paris-Normandie.fr, the Cercle de Bruges and Le Havre have reached an agreement worth three million euros for the 19-year-old striker.
Although he has not found the net this season, Ngoura is described as one of the rare bright spots in the grayness of Le Havre. In any case, he is considered a great hope among our neighbors, notably thanks to his 8 goals in 7 matches with the French U20s.
