In 1988, “BB Mania” took hold of Quebecers, who discovered the first sounds of what would become a true musical anthem, a sign of the craze for this group like no other. 35 years later, the group’s popularity is still astonishing on radios and in karaoke evenings, where their biggest hits are sung with enthusiasm.
To highlight this large-scale cultural heritage, Télé-Québec will broadcast a festive documentary on December 30 that will retrace the history of the BB, Les BB: une echo eternal. To do this, several personalities came together to remember memories linked to the trio, whose popularity exploded at the turn of the 90s. Among these, let us mention in particular Véronique Cloutier, Jean-Philippe Dion, the author-composer- performs Antoine Gratton, Sylvain Cossette, Les Shirley and Bleu Jeans Bleu.
The son of Patrick Bourgeois, one of the founders of the BB, Ludovick Bourgeois, will also be there, as will Alain Lapointe, the last living member of the group. We are even promised certain reinterpretations of the band’s great classics, including “You’ll Never Know”, “Be Careful”, “Give Me My Chance” and “You’re in the Moon”. The magic will definitely be there, as will the nostalgia! We can bet that many, like Véro in the video below, will sing in their living rooms, remembering the group’s good years!
