Barcelona in difficulty: Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor ready to move on

The Spaniard joined the club in August, becoming one of Barca’s landmark transfers. While the situation seems to be deteriorating for FC Barcelona with a series of unfortunate results that has seen them fall to third place in the table, things are set to get worse as La Liga has confirmed that they will not be able to register Dani Olmo and Víctor before the winter break.

Dani Olmo, the player who cost the Blaugrana almost 60 million euros, will become a free agent from January 3, with the possibility of negotiating with any team in the world.

Arriving last August as one of the main transfers for the 2024-2025 season, expectations were to rebuild a competitive team under the leadership of Hansi Flick.

However, Barça did not respect the financial fair play regulations imposed by La Liga. Therefore, the regulatory body informed that the club had not presented a viable solution to keep the player registered beyond January 2, 2025.

In response, the Catalan club released a brief statement stating that they had requested a new license from the Spanish Federation to extend the registration deadline for Olmo and Pau Víctor. At the same time, they stressed that they had not received any communication from La Liga or any other governing body.

Adding to the instability that has plagued Barcelona in recent years, from January 2, 2025, Dani Olmo will be a free agent, potentially marking an unnecessary investment for the high sums spent on his transfer from Leipzig, unless a new solution can be found. be offered to the Catalans by the federation.
