For this, the super final of the Swiss Breed Classic brought together the eight best Swiss horses born in 2021. This always awaited passage of free jumping highlights natural balance, coordination, style and even muscular development. The eight three-year-old horses qualified for this final were judged on technique, aptitude and quality. “Raising a good sport horse these days is very complicated, the criteria and requirements are very high,” insist the breeders.
Two horses from our region passed before the judges, proving that the Jura remains one of the cantons which breed the most half-breds in Switzerland. Lorane Cattin, from Courrendlin, presented Cascoo beau regard CH. This 3-year-old half-breed, born in Jura, is full of promise and has already demonstrated excellent skills on the track. He is said to be powerful, athletic and energetic. He thus won the Chevenez field test in October but above all the Swiss Breed Classic in Aadorf in Thurgau last November. A great achievement! In Geneva, he took 4th place with 52 points. Jacques Perrin, from Saint-Imier, traveled to Palexpo with Goldeneye CH, 6th with 48.5 points.
It should also be noted for completeness the 3rd place of Taila du Courte Royer CH in the Prix de la FECH. Ridden by rider Arnaud Martin, this 7-year-old mare belongs to Emilien Vernier, from Bassecourt. She took her first steps with the breeder Michel Spies in Ederswiler.
