The district residents will have hampered the very timid Briochins, but it was the visitors who had to wait for the penalty shootout to qualify. The locals created numerous opportunities. Juficael Siohan could have surprised Esteban Crespel, the Briochin goalkeeper, but his shot went over (2′). On a cross from Axel Bellec, Benjamin Guéguen, ideally placed, did not adjust his head (10′). Johan Riou put Axel Bellec into orbit, but his shot was deflected by the visiting goalkeeper (27′).
Ploudaniel kept up the pressure in the second half. Thomas Fontaine went inside six meters but his shot was deflected by the visiting goalkeeper (59′). From a cross from Jérémy Cabon, Axel Bellec’s header, from close range, was easily captured by Crespel (62′). The Briochins were only dangerous from long-range shots, notably from the attempts of their striker Jhon Balzan Riascos (69′, 76′). As we moved towards the end of the match, Axel Le Guen threw Axel Bellec, but he saw his shot go just over while the goalkeeper was beaten (85′). It was therefore on penalties that the two teams were decided. In this game, it was the Costarmoricans who stood out thanks to their goalkeeper, decisive on two shots on goal for the locals.
