IMSA – A new crew at Cetilar Racing at the 24 Hours of Daytona

For the third year in a row, Cetilar Racing will be at the start of the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of next January. A Ferrari 296 GT3 is on the GTD class entry list.

If the mount is known, the crew is partly reworked. Antonio Fuoco, official Ferrari driver, will return for a new Florida campaign in the 296 GT3 managed by AF Corse. Roberto Lacorte, at the origin of the program, will also be at the wheel of the #47 Ferrari.

The rest of the crew is young. Nicola Lacorte, Roberto’s 17-year-old son, will make his debut on the Florida classic. We will find him in 2025 in the Formula 3 championship at DAMS, being also a member of the Alpine Academy .

The last man is also a son of Lorenzo Patrese. The 19-year-old son of former Formula 1 driver Riccardo Patrese is a regular in the GT World Challenge Europe pelotons, a championship he competes in a Tresor Attempto Racing Audi.

“This is a very important moment in my life, rejoices Roberto Lacorte. Sharing the car with my son is another dream come true. Together with Ferrari and AF Corse, we carefully evaluated the opportunity to participate in the race with this team. Both Niko and Lorenzo completed two days of testing in Barcelona, showing great speed and maturity. I think they are both ready to tackle the iconic 24 Hours of Daytona race. Furthermore, I am proud that Cetilar Racing continues its legacy with an eye on the future and young talents. I am particularly proud to give a chance to Patrese, who is focused on GT racing, while for Nicola it will be valuable experience in his motorsport journey ahead of his FIA Formula 3 season, where it has already shown significant growth in trials. »
