Located on rue Marie-de-l’Incarnation, the Audiolight store ceased its activities in October due to a lack of buyers. This banner specializing in high-fidelity audio will however reopen its doors, but in a completely different format.
It will be incorporated into a new Stereo+ Québec address located on Boulevard des Gradins in the Méga Center Lebourgneuf area.
The official opening date will be revealed shortly on social networks, according to a press release.
This second life is the bet of David Berthelot, current owner of Stereo+ in Trois-Rivières.
“I am excited by the idea of reviving two major brands that resonate strongly in Quebec in addition to bringing new expertise in the audiovisual field,” says the instigator of this new partnership.
While Stereo+ has developed expertise in the field of entertainment, the products put forward by Audiolight complement the already existing offering for audiophiles.
In adaptation
The new owner saw fit to update the offer of the store which will celebrate its 60th anniversary. This redefinition allows Audiolight to adapt to the new realities of digital technologies and their integration into the world of audio.
“Audiolight needed a complete redefinition of its structure, its product range and its target clientele in order to maintain its vocation as a leader in the field of high-fidelity audio,” it is underlined.
Indeed, the brand will concentrate “its activities exclusively on the promotion and sale of purely audiophile products”.
Christian Lafleur, former marketing director and advisor at Audiolight for 23 years, will be in charge of the new store.
Founded in 1982, the Stereo+ banner has 17 branches spread across Quebec.
