Regional 2, pool D (7th day). Ploufragan – Lannion (B): 1-2

Ploufragan began an important shift with the reception of leader Lannion (B). Nicolas Buns and Maël Le Bon officiated for their first match at the head of the “Rouges et blanc” following the resignation of Simon Grace. The two men were returning to a team whose objective was the top 5, a prospect worth revisiting (one point in six games).

Lannion got his foot on the ball from the start, helped by pressing which stifled Ploufragan’s restarts. The debates were balanced in the middle of the first period and the 22 players had to deal with a common adversary, the wind, which will be important later. On one of the rare incursions into the opposing penalty area, Ploufragan won a penalty. Ufuk missed the goalkeeper (43′). The technical superiority of the visitors allowed them to take the lead before the break. A cross found Alexis Abalam who crossed his head (0-1, 45’+3).

A technical reservation filed by Ploufragan

Shortly after the restart, a Lannion clearance bounced off a player, sending the ball into the path of Ufuk who just had to eliminate the goalkeeper (1-1, 47′). The second half was contested, but it was going to have a special epilogue. At the end of regulation time, a free kick was whistled for Lannion, but the strong wind forced a teammate of the shooter to hold the ball… with his hand. Benoît Alagapin rushed forward and converted it magnificently (1-2, 86′). However, when it was time to kick, the teammate was still holding the ball in his hand. A point of settlement that Ploufragan did not let pass. A technical reservation had to be filed to shed light on the incident. “If we manage to reproduce this kind of performance, we will quickly gain points,” analyzed Nicolas Buns after the match. He concluded by returning to the change of coach: “We preferred to rely on people from the club rather than people from outside.”

BUTS. Ploufragan: Ufuk (47′); Lannion (B) : Abalam (45’+3), Alagapin (86′).

Warnings. Ploufragan : Takieddine (74’), Akin (83’).
