After practice Saturday, the Washington Capitals captain, who is sidelined with a broken left leg, walked by the media room at the training complex without crutches or a brace.

According to The Hockey Newshe even showed a big smile, despite a slight limp. Ovechkin had just attended his teammates’ morning practice and on Friday evening, he was in the stands for the Washington Wizards game at Capital One Arena.
Can number 8 return to play sooner than the expected four to six weeks?
“He tells us he’ll be back in no time,” said forward Tom Wilson.
“It seems like it’s getting better every day. We are all very excited to see him back on the ice [bientôt]», added Pierre-Luc Dubois.
