In Detroit, they continue to swing milkings. Akshay Bhatia and Aaron Rai remain in control of the Rocket Mortgage Classic (68) even if Luke Clanton (7th), a 20-year-old amateur, signed the best card of the day (65). Akshay Bhatia has still not made the slightest bogey this week, resisting the difficult conditions on this third round (games delayed by two hours with rain, certain flooded tees and fairways forcing players to shift their tees).

Winner of the Valero Texas Open in April, 5th last week in the Travelers, the left-hander who wears glasses (there are not many on the circuit) could become this Sunday the sixth player to win a third PGA title before his 23rd birthday.

The American will, however, have to be wary of Aaron Rai, who has fewer references behind him but continues to struggle in Detroit. Having the particularity of playing with two black gloves, the Englishman made his first bogey of the week during this third round (at 15), largely compensated for (four birdies including one at 17 to remain on a positive impression).

The fourth round will not be a duel since Cameron, Davis and Young are on the lookout (-16). Given the density of the field, a comeback for the win is also not totally out of the question.
