PSG has decided to strengthen its midfield this summer. Luis Campos is thinking in particular of Newcastle player Bruno Guimarães, who is valued at around €115 million. But the Parisian football advisor may have to forget about this target. Indeed, the English club would not want to part with the Brazilian during the summer transfer window.
For two seasons, Bruno Guimarães made the happiness of theOL. The Brazilian was one of the best players in Ligue 1 in midfield, and he ended up leaving Lyon in 2022 to join Newcastle. But the 26-year-old could well make his return to the French championship this summer.
PSG appreciates Guimarães
After’OL, Bruno Guimaraes could join another French club. The Brazilian is highly regarded at PSG, where Luis Campos would try to get him to come. The former Lyonnais would be in competition with Joshua Kimmich or Amadou Onana for a transfer to the capital club. An arrival of the Auriverde international could result in a check for €115M, the amount of his release clause.
Newcastle do not want to part ways with Guimarães
According to The Guardian, Bruno Guimaraes would be blocked by Newcastle. In fact, the Magpies would not want to sell their player this summer. It remains to be seen whether the management of Newcastle will be able to resist a potential XXL offer from PSG, while financial fair play awaits them. Otherwise, the capital club will have to convince the player and activate his €115 million release clause to win the bet.
