Zapping Our Mondial EXCLUSIVE: Randal Kolo Muani’s “Little Brother” interview!

The Blues reached the round of 16 of the Euro but without shining during the group stages. Without scoring a single goal in the game during the three matches, it was Kylian Mbappé who scored the only goal for the French from the penalty spot… A little over 48 hours before the start of the match against Belgium, the coach has adapted his training session a little!

The Blues worked on penalties

As reported the Parisian, the 22 French players practiced penalties at the end of the last training session. However, it is not Didier Deschamps’ habit to work specifically on this exercise. Falling against Switzerland during Euro 2021 and against Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final after penalty shootouts, the Blues coach seems to change his mind and has therefore decided to prepare as best as possible to a possible session. The 22 players took a penalty against the three goalkeepers, who turned one after the other. At a press conference this morning, Ibrahima Konaté notably mentioned the exercise: “ On penalties, there is always the luck factor. Training conditions will never be match conditions, but we work on them anyway ».

To sum up

Didier Deschamps decided to work on penalty kicks during the last training session of the Blues. It’s not his usual practice but after the defeats against Switzerland at Euro 2021 and Argentina in 2022, he seems to be changing his tune!
