Summary of the session
Before the final qualifying session, the drivers and teams had 30 minutes of preparation time to warm up and fine-tune the final settings. Several of them played with the limits, but the error is not forgiving. Marco Bezzecchi and Raul Fernandez crashed at full speed in the first sector. More fear than harm, no one is hurt. Following these incidents, the race marshals waved the red flag for a few minutes to clear the gravel present on the track.
At the end of this second free practice session, it was Francesco Bagnaia who set the best time. The Italian is the big favourite to play for pole in qualifying. He is ahead of Maverick Vinales and Pedro Acosta. On the French side, Fabio Quartararo and Johann Zarco set the 11th and 19th times. Discover the final standings of FP2.
