The summary of Q1

On the first pass Fabio Di Giannantonio and Pedro Acosta seemed to be the big favourites for this first part of qualifying. Behind, Fabio Quartararo and Marco Bezzecchi could still claim a passage to Q2, unlike Johann Zarco, temporarily last on time.

After a brief stint on the wrong line, Bezzecchi made a mistake and ended his own hopes. Acosta quickly set the fastest time ahead of Quartararo and only Di Giannantonio could prevent the Yamaha rider from finishing among the top two. But the Italian from VR46 managed to do so and pushed him back to more than two tenths. The Frenchman will start 13th on the grid, ahead of his compatriot Zarco, 19th but first Honda on the grid. At the very end of this Q1, the best of this Q1 fell, apparently without seriousness.
