Tour de France, stage 1: a very open race for the first yellow jersey, Van Aert and Evenepoel as outsiders (Live at 3:15 p.m.)

For the first time in its history, the Tour de France starts from Italy. With no less than seven climbs (3rd and 2nd categories) listed, 206 kilometers and 3700 meters of elevation gain. A real classic, therefore, which will be contested in stifling heat.

The unfavorable wind at the end of the stage could favor a regrouping after the last summit of the day, located 26 kilometers from the goal. A sprint in small groups is therefore the most likely scenario but many expect to see the UAE Emirates armada wanting to test Jonas Vingegaard this Saturday.

Our consultants preface the Tour de France: “A stage for De Lie, a part of the unknown for Remco and van Aert”

We invite you to experience these fireworks live with commentary during the last 100 kilometers of the race. Hoping that Remco Evenepoel or Wout Van Aert will be able to wear yellow around 6 p.m. But the real favorites of the day are Tadej Pogacar, Alberto Bettiol, Tom Pidcock and Mathieu van der Poel, who all start this Grande Boucle with more guarantees about their form than the two Belgians. Maxim Van Gils will try to create a surprise.
