For this 111th edition of the Grande Boucle (June 29-July 21), more than 2.3 million euros will be distributed in the peloton.

A hell of a lot to share! More than 2.3 million euros will be distributed during this 111th edition of the Tour de France, which starts in Florence (Italy) on Saturday – an amount slightly higher than the previous one [2 282 000 d’euros, NDLR]. But then how will the profits be distributed?

Bonuses for the general ranking

The runner who will shine – dressed all in yellow – on July 21 on the final podium in Nice will pocket 500,000 euros, or a quarter of the total sum. His runner-up will receive 200,000 euros. 100,000 euros will be awarded to the third. Runners ranked between 20th and 176th place will be awarded the sum of 1,000 euros each.
