Mercedes and Iron Lynx have announced a new partnership for the 2025 season in the World Endurance Championship. The brand with the star, if the application is successful, would make its return to endurance racing after 26 years of absence.

The rumor of a Mercedes return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans had been circulating for several weeks. If the British press mentioned a return to Hypercar, the possibility of the brand with the star returning to Sarthe, via an entry in the World Endurance Championship, seemed more likely through the GT3 category. This Wednesday morning, Mercedes and Iron Lynx announced their partnership in this regard. After a year with Lamborghini, the Italian team will come under German stronghold.
