Last summer, PSG was looking for a new offensive element after the departure of Kylian Mbappé. The capital club was thinking in particular of Victor Osimhen. But Naples, who demanded €130 million for his transfer, blocked the negotiations. The Azzurri, however, made a mistake in asking for so much, since the Nigerian striker will ultimately leave for much less.

The PSG recorded a major departure last summer with that of Kylian Mbappé. The Frenchman realized one of his biggest dreams by signing free for Real Madridbut left a big void behind him among the Red-and-Blue. The Parisian leaders then began looking for a new striker to replace the 25-year-old star. And with this in mind, the name of Victor Osimhen has been mentioned very regularly.

But PSG found itself blocked by Naples in the negotiations. The resident of Serie A demanded €130M for the Nigerian striker and refused to budge from their positions. The French champions then withdrew from the file, as did Chelsea. Victor Osimhen then remained at Naples after the closure of the transfer window in the major European championships, before being loaned to Galatasaray after a huge internal clash.

Naples will bite its fingers

The 25-year-old striker is expected to return to Italy at the end of the season. Naples should, however, look to sell it. But the Azzurri will not recover as much money as expected from its sale. “ Osimhen?
