Thanks to the multiple successes of his multimillionaire employer, Scottie Scheffler, Ted Scott, his caddy, is one of the highest paid current players on the PGA Tour 2024. Incredible but true…

Since the beginning of the year, Scottie Scheffler played fifteen tournaments and won six. Four Signature Eventsthe Players Championship and the Masters. Tournaments with a minimum prize pool of $20 million. His earnings so far amount to just under $28 million. 27,696,858 exactly. Amounts that allow his caddy, Ted Scottto also ensure a senator’s lifestyle.

The one who carries the bag of the undisputed world number 1 has thus won more than a million dollars more than the average of the PGA Tour currently: $1,555,579. He thus amassed a little more than 2.5 million dollars if we take into account the percentages usually paid by a player to his caddy. 10% of the winnings in case of victory, 7% for a top 10 and 5% if we make the cut.

More money than 80% of players on the PGA Tour this season

Ted Scott would therefore have earned $2,633,839 in just over six months. If he were to be ranked in the PGA Tour Money List this season, he would occupy… 46th place. A completely crazy statistic. For comparison, it would be positioned ahead Jordan Spieth ($2.5 million), Davis Riley (2.04 million), yet winner of the Charles Schwab Challenge in front…Scottie Scheffler, Adam Scott (1.67 million) or Rickie Fowler (1,09 million).

In summary, Ted Scott, thanks to the multiple successes of his employer – but also to his seven other top 10 finishes – has earned more money than more than 80% of the players who took part in the 2024 season on the PGA Tour. Crazy !
