In search of reinforcements for its clubs (OL and Botafogo), John Textor’s holding company, Eagle Football Group, has Canadian defender Moïse Bombito in its sights. Colorado Rapids, his MLS franchise, however, does not seem willing to let him go easily.

While the Copa América is in full swing in the United States, the American boss of OL is carefully observing the MLS market. While an agreement with midfielder Thiago Almada (Atlanta United) has apparently been reached, with a first step planned at Botafogo before his arrival in Europe and OL, John Textor is also working at recruitment of Canadian central defender Moïse Bombito (Colorado Rapids). In Brazil, it seems that the same approach used with the Argentinian is being considered for the Canadian. However, the deal is far from being included, according to New York Times.

Colorado Rapids rejects Textor offer (OL, Botafogo)

Eagle Football Group would have submitted a first offer to the MLS franchise, corresponding to the market value of the Quebecer, a little less than 4 million euros. However, this sum is considered insufficient by American leaders, who hope to see their counterparts return with a higher formula in the coming days. While waiting to know what the future holds for him, whether with Botafogo or OL, Moïse Bombito is competing in the Copa América with his selection. Last night, the Canucks won their first victory in the history of this legendary competition, thanks to a goal from Jonathan David (1-0 against Peru).
