The “Filles Club Saïdia” association is organizing, in collaboration with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, the first international women’s beach soccer tournament in Saïdia, from July 10 to 14.
According to a press release from the organizers, this tournament, which will be held on the occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the accession of HM King Mohammed VI to the Throne of His glorious ancestors, will see the participation of four national teams, namely The FAR Sports Association, the Laâyoune Municipal Women’s Football Association, the Renaissance Sportive de Berkane and the Saïdia Girls Club Association.
The tournament will also be marked by the participation of four European teams: “New Team Beach Soccer” from Belgium, “Marseille Beach Team” from France, “Enpie Malaga Beach Soccer” from Spain and “Gruopo Deportivo de Ilha” from Portugal, specifies the same source.
“This sporting competition, the first of its kind at the national level, also stems from this spirit of mobilization of all the living forces of Moroccan society, with a view to successfully organizing the 2030 World Cup, within the framework of sports policy promising national event, the fruit of the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI,” underline the organizers.
And to add that given the impact of this event on the tourist influence of the city of Saïdia, as well as its contribution to the promotion of the socio-economic achievements of the Oriental region, parallel activities will be organized for the benefit of the participating teams.
A women’s football match intended for people with special needs will also be organized, as a curtain-raiser to the final competition.
