The French team is disappointing at the start of Euro 2024. The Blues have not managed to find the net, except once thanks to an own goal from an Austrian. The lack of efficiency of Didier Deschamps’ players is starting to worry, as is the play produced. Once again, and despite a talented generation of players, the results are quite poor. Many fans and observers complain that they take no pleasure in watching the France team play. Criticisms of which Didier Deschamps has heard, even if the latter does not really seem to take them into account…
The fans are extremely bored, Deschamps doesn’t believe it
This Monday at a press conference, the coach of the France team indeed wanted to respond to his detractors. All while remembering that the Blues matches were always well attended: “You are free to comment. It’s annoying not to have scored with all the chances we had. (…) We didn’t score. You make whatever comments you want. We have more than 10 million viewers for each match, I think that if people don’t like it, they move on. It’s easier at home but at the stadium they stay until the end. Afterwards, I repeat, not having scored is the negative point”. An outing far from being unanimous once again and which denotes the particular state of mind of Didier Deschamps at the start of Euro 2024. Note that against Poland, Antoine Griezmann could start on the bench, while Kylian Mbappé is getting better and better and should therefore have a few minutes.
