Paris Saint-Germain seems on the verge of making its first big move of the summer transfer window with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, while an agreement between the two parties has reportedly been reached.
The sale of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid prompted PSG to be very active at the start of the transfer window. The Parisian club, in search of a new emblematic figure after this painful departure, seems to have found the solution. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Paris would have finally managed to reach an agreement with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for a transfer this summer. The player, currently involved in the Euro with Georgia, chose not to comment on these rumors in order to remain focused on the competition. On the other hand, his agent had clearly expressed his wish to see Kvaratskhelia leave Naples, in particular due to the club’s lack of qualification for the Champions League.
However, the transfer is not yet finalized. Aurelio de Laurentiis, the president of Naples, is known for his rigorous negotiations and does not want to let go of his nugget, who still has two years of contract. While the player’s value is estimated at around 80 million euros, Napoli are reportedly demanding 120 million euros to let him join France. This large sum could temper Parisian enthusiasm, despite the savings made thanks to the departure of Kylian Mbappé.
