L’Olympic Marseille holds (again) his new trainer! Eighth in the final season of Ligue 1 and not qualified in the European Cup, the Marseille club achieves one of the most notable moves of this start of the summer transfer window by securing the signature of the Italian Roberto De Zerbi (45 years old) as head coach, which will be formalized in the days to come. The position had been vacant for many weeks, after the third coach of the 2023-2024 season, Jean-Louis Gasset, confirmed that he would not continue his career.

Revealed at Sassuolo, the former midfielder stood out for his attacking style of play. At Brighton over the last two seasons, the technician distinguished himself by qualifying the club for the first time in the European Cup. The challenge for OM will be to retain this coach in the long term, after the premature departures of Marcelino, Igor Tudor and Jorge Sampaoli.
