The French Federation and Losc were present at the hearing as civil parties. Gérard Lopez now has ten days to appeal this judgment.

« We are satisfied today with the agreement reached with the Lille prosecutor definitively putting an end to the proceedings carried out against Mr. Gérard Lopez, and leading to a sentence with limited consequences, explained Me Pierre de Combles de Nayves, Gérard Lopez’s lawyer, to The Team. The fact that only this residual procedure relating to a temporary situation remains, despite several years of investigation with numerous ramifications – in which Mr. Lopez diligently participated – demonstrates the solidity of his case. »

“The prosecutor also proposed to the judge that this conviction not be entered in bulletin no. 2 of the criminal record, thus authorizing Mr. Lopez to continue his activities without any restriction, in or abroad,” also clarified Me Pierre de Combles de Nayves
