Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, recently arrived in Naples, seems to have quickly been adopted by the whole city. A baby jaguar born in the Italian city’s zoo now bears his name.
A globetrotter of European football, the robust Red Devils striker Romelu Lukaku has settled down in Naples. A new club for the one who has, among others, worn the colors of Chelsea, Everton, Manchester United, Inter and Roma.

Despite his recent past with other Calcio teams, the striker has already been adopted by his new city, where the passion for football never fades. As proof, a baby jaguar born at the Naples zoo was recently named “Romelu”, in homage to the player’s first name.

An original choice which seems to be part of a form of tradition since another jaguar, born some time ago, had been named “Victor”, in reference to the team’s former star scorer Victor Osimhen, exfiltrated at the beginning of September in Galatasaray on loan.
