Max Verstappen finished in third place in the Sprint Race, but is currently under investigation. Indeed, the driver is under investigation after an incident that occurred during the last lap of the Sprint race of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The Batavian had started from fourth place on the starting grid, he quickly showed himself in Charles Leclerc's mirrors, but took several laps to pass him and move to third place in the Grand Prix. He then battled to reduce the gap with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.

Although he failed to overtake Piastri (who had swapped positions with Norris), an opportunity presented itself on the final lap after the end of a virtual safety car (VSC), implemented following with the abandonment of Nico Hülkenberg (Haas).

As the VSC ended, Max Verstappen, very close to Oscar Piastri's McLaren, is suspected of having potentially violated the speed restrictions imposed during this race neutralization, by driving at a speed which could have exceeded the delta allowed. An investigation is underway to examine this possible breach.
