Blues: Holloway leaves the meeting on a stretcher

Dylan Holloway left the St. Louis Blues’ game on a stretcher late in the first period against the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Enterprise Center on Tuesday.

The forward was hit in the neck by a deflected shot from the Lightning’s Nicholas Paul. Holloway finished his time on the ice before returning to the bench, where the Blues therapist tended to him.

Holloway returned to the locker room on a stretcher, then headed to the hospital. The Blues later announced he is in stable condition and is being evaluated further.

Holloway, who is in his first season with the Blues after accepting their hostile offer as a restricted free agent on August 20, has six points (four goals, two assists) in 13 games this season.

Selected by the Edmonton Oilers with the 14th pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, Holloway has 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists) in 101 NHL games with Edmonton and the Blues. He recorded seven points (five goals, two assists) in 25 games in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs, helping the Oilers reach the Stanley Cup Final, where they were defeated in seven games by the Florida Panthers .
