Title holders, the Mayennais will play the final this Saturday afternoon in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, against Nantes. Laval, 1st in the regular season, will challenge the team that finished 3rd. Nantes is the only team to have beaten Laval this season in the championship (April 27, victory for Nantes 3-2). For the goalkeeper and captain of Étoile Lavalloise, Louis Marquet, “It’s clearly a derby. These are great matches each time against Nantes, matches which are expected. What’s a shame is that this match is being played far from home. We would have liked to play close to home with our respective audiences. Nantes is a great team, with strong individuals. The match we lost in Nantes, our team was diminished with several players absent. But there will be a little revenge for us to take. We are going to play this final with desire, determination and happy to repeat a final a year later.“The winner of this match will qualify for the next Futsal Champions League.
