La Victoire de Montréal announced Friday that it has signed a three-year standardized player agreement with forward Abigail Boreen, selected in the third round (17th overall) of the last annual draft of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (LPHF). .
The contract will be valid until the 2026-2027 season.
The 24-year-old from Somerset, Wisconsin, played the 2024 season as a reserve player for the Minnesota Frost, where she recorded four goals and one assist in nine regular season games, and one assist in five games in playoffs for the Walter Cup champions.

At the college level, Boreen played five seasons for the University of Minnesota Gophers. In 166 games, she scored 60 goals and collected 66 assists. In her final university season, where she was named team captain, she compiled a record of 21 goals and 16 assists in 37 games.
Per the Players’ Association, the salary terms of the agreement will not be revealed.
La Victoire de Montréal will begin its season on November 30 at Place Bell in Laval.
