One hundred and sixty riders were at the start of the 40th edition of the Saint-Menoux motocross, contested on the Souys circuit. Unfortunately, a serious crash, involving two young drivers, forced the organizers to end the race prematurely.
Clearly, it was said that this 40th 2024 edition of the Saint-Menoux motocross would be cursed. Initially scheduled for May, it had to be canceled by the organizers due to the weather. This time, it was a fall, involving two drivers aged 19 and 15, which occurred during the second Open group B round, which pushed the organizers to stop the proceedings, in order to allow rescue and civil security helicopter, Dragon 63, to take care of the two injured.

Organized jointly by the Moto Club Yzeure and the festival committee, the Saint-Menoux motocross experienced, as you will have understood, a difficult day that began in heavy rain, making the track slippery and disrupting the various rounds on the program.
The sun appearing at the beginning of the afternoon, we said to ourselves that everything was going to turn out for the best.
But that was without counting on bad luck which had obviously decided otherwise. Of the six events initially planned, only two were contested in full.
