Zurich is indeed the best team at the start of the National League championship. Winners 3-2 in Davos, the reigning champions signed their eighth victory in nine matches.

Marc Crawford’s men took advantage of a numerical superiority to score 2-1 four seconds from the second siren. A success signed Mikko Lehtonen which put a blow on the head of Graubünden.

Davos, however, responded to Zurich’s quick opening score (Balcers, 4th) at the start of the second third, thanks to Adam Tambellini (25th). But the “Rekordmeister” failed to convert two power plays in the minutes following the equalizer.

The Zurich residents then ensured their success thanks to a third goal scored by Santtu Kinnunen (47th) before resisting Davos’ late reduction in the score (Honka, 58th). This success allows them to consolidate their first place.
