Couiza: the season is launched by the Jo-Vizcaïno challenge

The Jo-Vizcaïno challenge launched the 2024 season of the Omnisport Couiza pétanque club on Friday May 3 at the Joyeuse bowling alley. The scrum games alternately in doubles and triplets take place on Fridays in three games and are subject to classification throughout the season. As the club reserves the right to change or cancel a date for major reasons, on certain Fridays, an end-of-month meal brings together members. For the month of May, the meal is set for May 31 at 6:30 p.m. For the 2023 season, the winners of the Jo-Vizcaïno challenge were: Tony Murcia (1st), Richard Ménardeau (2nd), Christian Novello (3rd), Aude Mestre (1st women), Antoine Martinez (1st exterior).

The next internal competition (reserved for club members) will take place at the scrum on Sunday May 12 at 2:30 p.m. with €100+ stakes.

The traditional Saint-Jean competition is set on the departmental calendar for Sunday June 23 at 2 p.m. It will be played in formed triplets and will have €150+ stakes.

Furthermore, the triplet Christian Novello, Michel Tricoire and José Torroglosa are selected veterans to defend their League title and reach the national level. The regional games will be played in Marvejols on Friday May 17 from 8 a.m. The cocists decided to leave the day before to ensure the best meeting conditions.
