Inter Europol Competition won the 4 Hours of Castellet this Sunday, counting towards the ELMS, with the #43 Oreca 07 of Tom Dillmann / Vladislav Lomko / Sebastian Alvarez.

Taking the lead after two hours of racing, after the penalties suffered by the Oreca #34 / Inter Europol Competition and the #14 / AO by TF, COOL Racing seemed to have the situation in hand after the double neutralization at just over one hour and a half from the finish following the stops on track of two LMP3s: the Ligier #88 / Inter Europol Competition of Kai Askey, then the Duqueine #12 / WTM by Rinaldi of Torsten Kratz. But Malthe Jakobsen (Oreca #37) was forced to stop at the side of the track just over forty minutes from the finish, following a technical problem.

At the restart, the duel between Job van Uitert (Oreca #28 / Idec Sport) and Tom Dillmann (Oreca #43 / Inter Europol Competition) quickly turned to the advantage of the Frenchman, who passed the Dutchman at Signes, taking advantage of the settings and the best top speed of his car.

The victorious team of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2023 in LMP2 was even at one point in the first two places with the #34 Oreca of Clément Novalak, but the latter had to give up eighteen minutes from the finish, stopping his car in the pit straight.

Tom Dillmann finally held on and won with Sebastien Alvarez and Vladislav Lomko. The trio is ahead of Job van Uitert, Reshad de Gerus and Paul Lafargue but the Oreca #28 – Idec Sport is penalized 10 seconds for zigzagging and blocking another car. It is therefore COOL Racing with the #47 of Paul Loup Chatin, Alejandro Garcia and Frederik Vesti which gets on the podium with the #14 / AO by TF of Robert Kubica / Louis Delétraz / Jonny Edgar in front of the Idec Sport car, finally fourth .

Richard Mille by TDS wins the LMP2 Pro Am class with the #29 of Mathias Beche, Rodrigo Sales and Grégoire Saucy ahead of the #77 / Proton of Giorgio Roda / Bent Viscaal / Rene Binder and the #21 / United Autosports (Jarvis / Schneider / Meyrick). 4th place for #83 / AF Corse (Vaxiviere / Perrodo / Rovera).

The LMP3 category is dominated by RLR M Sport with the #15 Ligier of Gael Julien / Nick Adcock / Michael Jensen, ahead of the #4 DKR Engineering Duqueine of Wyatt Brichacek / Belen Garcia / Alexander Mattschull and the #35 / Ultimate Ligier of Jean-Baptiste and Matthieu Lahaye and Eric Trouillet.

In LMGT3, after having largely dominated the start of the race, the Iron Dames were not varnished with a final stop made before a neutralization which caused the #85 Porsche 911 of Michelle Gatting / Rahel Frey / Sarah Bovy to fall back to fourth position . It was ultimately the Ferrari 296 #55 / Spirit of Race of David Perel / Matthew Griffin / Duncan Cameron which won ahead of the Lamborghini Huracan #63 / Iron Lynx of Andrea Caldarelli / Hiroshi Hamaguchi / Axcil Jefferies and the Aston Martin Vantage #59 / Racing Spirit of Léman by Valentin Hasse Clot / Derek DeBoer / Casper Stevenson.

The #86 / GR Racing Ferrari was penalized with a Drive-Through at the end of the race for anticipating the end of a Full Course Yellow, thus losing the podium.
