Last Saturday, the reunion between Yannick Bru and Philippe Tayeb was tense, after UBB’s victory in Bayonne. The LNR announced this Friday that it had opened an investigation after an incident that occurred between the two men.

Last Saturday, on the sidelines of the victory of Union Bordeaux-Bègles on the Bayonne lawn, Yannick Bru, the manager of Bordeaux, and Philipe Tayeb, president of Aviron Bayonnais, had a small altercation. According to our colleagues from Sud-Ouest, just after the meeting, Yannick Bru went to greet the president of Ciel et Blanc by extending his hand in a friendly manner, a gesture refused by Philippe Tayeb. What followed was a verbal exchange and then a little pat on the back of the neck from the former Bayonnais coach.

The two men, who rubbed shoulders during Yannick Bru’s stay in the Basque Country (2018-2022), gradually saw their relationship fall apart, and now have no contact. This incident is therefore unlikely to improve things between the two ex-friends.
