Adaptations in optional courses taught in Jura schools

Adaptations in optional courses taught in Jura schools
Descriptive text here

Change but no revolution in the optional courses taught in Jura schools. According to our information, the Education Department has decided to adapt the directives which had not been updated for some time. Department head Fred-Henri Schnegg told RFJ that these adaptations are minor. The different school districts will always be able to offer different activities to their students, depending on a financial envelope made available by the Canton.

Three changes should be noted: firstly, the Education Service will prohibit the implementation as optional monthly courses of branches already taught. This is the case, for example, with digital education or cooking. Secondly, schools will no longer be able to offer optional courses that Jeunesse et Sport already puts in place via instructors. This is the case, for example, with football lessons for girls. Finally, thirdly, the Education Service forced schools to specify the content of optional courses entitled “board games”. These will only be admitted as monthly courses if they are intended to assist learning. /male
