During the recent Expanded Political Bureau of the People’s Rally (RP), a crucial decision was taken: the choice of the party’s first servant. Under the chairmanship of Mr. Mamour Insa Ba, regional of Kaolack, the members examined the candidacies of Cheikh Ibrahima Mamoune Niass and Yousra Mamoune Niass. After a lively debate and vote, it was decided, with the approval of seven out of eight regions, that Yousra Mamoune Niass would occupy this crucial position.
In her inaugural speech, Ms. Yousra Mamoune Niass expressed her commitment to the party’s fundamental values: solidarity, development and prosperity. She promised to devote her mandate to the revitalization, massification and modernization of the party with a view to the next electoral events. She also paid tribute to her predecessors and her father, the late Serigne Mamoune Niass, for their contribution to the party.
The session concluded in a spirit of support and unity, with the announcement of an upcoming national congress to formalize this choice among activists.
Apart from the political aspect, Ms. Yousra Mamoune Niass shared her professional journey, highlighting her expertise in the field of accounting and management, as well as her commitment to serving her community.
This choice marks a new stage for the People’s Rally, which is preparing to meet the challenges to come under the leadership of its new leader.
