The signing of Pau Lopez in Lens made it possible to bring the transfer window dominoes into play, and Brice Samba was therefore authorized to sign up with Stade Rennais. The French international goalkeeper was announced as leaving, but it remained very confusing for a week with retractions and denials. Everything is now settled and RMC announces that Brice Samba's medical examination is underway since an agreement was reached between the two clubs, as well as between the goalkeeper and the Breton team.
Brice Samba will sign a four and a half year contract with the Breton club, with a pretty crazy salary estimated at 500,000 euros per month. The transfer amount is 15 million euros according to transfer window expert Fabrizio Romano. A decision which will inevitably relegate Steve Mandanda to oblivion within Stade Rennais, even if the former last bastion of OM has for the moment not suggested that he wishes to terminate his contract at Rennes.
