The Stade Rennais reserve has just received a disciplinary sanction which could have significant consequences for the rest of its season in National 3. On December 7, during the 10th day of the championship, the match between Stade Rennais B at FC Saint-Lô Manche ended in a draw (1-1). However, the French Football Federation (FFF) has decided to re-judge this meeting.
Indeed, it turns out that the young Rennes player, Joël Emmanuel Coulibaly (17 years old), who participated in part of the match because in the 37th minute of play, he received a red card. He was under suspension and this irregularity reported by the leaders of FC Saint-Lô Manche was confirmed by the FFF.
Consequence of this error: the draw is transformed into a loss by forfeit for Stade Rennais B. In addition, the club is penalized by one point.
This double blow takes the Rennes reserve from 4th to 6th place in the ranking, tied with their opponent of the day. This sanction puts a stop to the Stade Rennais reserve which will have to redouble its efforts to move up the rankings and regain the top places.
